  • Worldchefs Without Borders raised almost 1744 eur...

      Worldchefs Without Borders and Worldchefs Young Chef Development raised almost 1744 euros at the Food and Hotel China in Shanghai charity lunch. The food was provided by four national young chef teams that cooked up their regional dishes from Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea and China. Celebrity Chef Tony Khoo signed off his book as a donation to the charity event. Worldchefs President Gissur Gudmundson praised the event and urged members of the Worldchefs family around the world to support the humanitarian division of Worldchefs.

    The chef's knife is probably a cook's most important tool. Given the amount of time it spends in our hand, it's definitely worth making sure you have a good one. Indeed, we did see good knifes at the second edition and the “2014 Atlantic Chef Cup Asian Young Chefs Knife Skills Competition” took center stage in Taichung, Taiwan on October 31, 2014 at the Trans World University; Doulin City, Yulin County, 640 Taiwan. Many of us have attended various competitions before, this one was unique and a true winner in promoting not cooking but fundamental skills as the promising and popular skills competition of knife skills measured precision in the core of culinary creation which was attended by over 224 young competitors from 4 nations at the age below 25 years.

  • World’s leaders meet in China

    While US President Barack Obama, Chinese President Xi Jinpin and Russian President Vladimir Putin crossed paths this week to attend a summit of world leaders in Beijing (China) named “Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit”, future growth of the culinary world has as well been a major topic discussed at this moment by industry’s highest representatives - Worldchefs President Mr. Gissur Gudmundsson and recently appointed President of China Cuisine Association (CCA) Mr. Jiang Junxian. During his stay in China, Worldchefs President will attend several high-end meetings with China Cuisine Association Presidium and its members. The following round of meetings between the two Presidents will encounter different subjects, all aimed at strengthening the collaboration between Worldchefs and CCA, and focused on the development of the upcoming projects of national, regional and global importance.
