Seeks Expert Chefs from around the World
The WACS Train-the-Trainer program, sponsored by Custom Culinary™, is in need of expert chefs who are willing to share their skills and knowledge with fellow cooks and chefs around the globe. The Train-the-Trainer program offers unique opportunities for skilled chefs, skilled at training others, to visit a foreign nation and train fellow chefs, pastry chefs and chef educators about food and cuisine in their area of expertise. At the same time, visiting chefs learn about the culture, food and people of their host country. Train-the-Trainer is truly an experience that can last a life time.
Qualified chefs will hold positions of executive chef, pastry chef, culinary educator or professor, master chef, or culinary executive, or be certified to teach or train by a legitimate credentialing agency. Chefs are needed with both basic skills and advanced skills including competitions, and HACCP training.
Chefs and culinary educators are asked to volunteer their time and offer their skills and knowledge to aid in raising the knowledge and skill level of professionals cooking around the world. With your help we can continue to do so as requests keep coming in to the WACS office. Thanks to the generous support of Custom Culinary™, WACS is able to pay the transportation costs from the chef’s home to the country he or she will be visiting; the host chef association will take care of all other expenses.
Interested chefs should fill out an official application which can be found on the web site under Educational Programmes/Train the Trainer (provide link) and returned to Michael Baskette, WACS Train the Trainer project manager (mdbaskette@aol.com). Qualified chefs will be notified of their acceptance and placed in the active file for the next available opportunity. Although we can not guarantee placement in any particular country, we can guarantee a great experience and a chance to meet quality chefs wherever you go.
