Aiming to bake the longest cake in Myanmar

The Myanmar Chefs Association will be invited to take part in the International Fair 2003, Myanmar, at Yangon's Mya Yeik Nyo Royal Hotel on 1st March 2003. This fair is organised by different national and international women's organisations in Myanmar. The main subject of the fair will be food of various customs, styles and nationalities, as represented through women from all embassies as well those from the various races in Myanmar. The Myanmar Chefs Association is looking forward to conquer the 'longest cake' record in Myanmar that was set in 2001 at 104 meters. This year they aim to create a 110-meter long cake! Ten hotels from Yangon, as well The Hotel @ Tharabar Gate from Old Bagan will be taking part, with pastry chef, Gomesh leading the team. All revenue generated from the sale of the cake (at US$5 a piece) will be donated to charity.
