WACS CERTIFIED MASTER PASTRY CHEF
Welcome to the WACS Certified Master Pastry Chef certification level.
WHO IS THIS LEVEL FOR?
A professional pastry chef who creates innovative pasty, bakery and dessert products of exceptional quality and holds a reputation for pastry excellence.
The requirements that you need to be able to meet are outlined in the scheme introduction and the handbook.
In a nutshell, there are four areas that you will be assessed on:
- Entry requirements: to make sure you are eligible for entry for the chosen level
- Technical expertise: your culinary skills
- Professional development: how you keep your skills and knowledge of the industry current
- Professionalism in the work role: how you conduct yourself in your role.

The Certification is valid for seven years, individuals will need to re-apply after seven years. However those wishing to apply for a different level may do so at any point at time, provided that they are able to meet the certification requirements for the chosen level.
