Worldchefs Education Director

As part of the continued commitment to the development of educational Programmes and certification, Worldchefs are seeking candidates for the newly established position of  ‘Education Director’ to manage and administer all education Programmes for our membership. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for this post.

 

Worldchefs Education Director

Job Description:

Reporting to the President of Worldchefs, the Education Director will be responsible for the administration and development of all educational Programmes, including planning, management and related budgets.

The ideal candidate should be an enthusiastic team leader with an ability to contribute successfully to the ongoing development of Worldchefs educational Programmes at an international level and through external partnerships.

 

Role and Responsibility:

The Education Director will be responsible for the effective management and control of the assigned position, role and duties in accordance with Worldchefs current and future policy and strategic plans.

 

Duties:

 

  1. Develop, promote and administer all current and future Educational services and Certification programmes in association with the Education committee and under the direction of the World President and General Manager to include :
  • Worldchefs Recognized School Programme
  • Global Certification Scheme
  • Train the Trainer Programme
  1. Direct and lead the development of new programmes for Worldchefs to include:
  • Sustainable Education Seminars
  • Worldchefs Educational Consultancy Services
  • Worldchefs Scholarship and exchange programmes.
  • All existing programmes including coordination of task group activities.
  • Presentations to the Worldchefs Education Committee and Board of Directors
  • Actively engage in the promotion and management of new programmes as they are launched
  • Play an active role in all other Worldchefs educational initiatives and promotions.
  • Formulate and present reports and results from all educational programmes and submit to the World President, General Manager, Board of Directors and Education Committee  

 

Professional Experience Requirements:

The successful candidate should have a proven track record and background working experience in the culinary and hospitality industry including, kitchen administration, mentoring and management leadership skills. 

The ideal candidate should have experience as a culinary educator including teaching and academic leadership in the development and delivery of educational Programmes in the culinary field.

Act as an advisor in quality assurance issues, and implement agreed procedures in relation to the Worldchefs Global Certification programme.

 

Academic Qualifications:

Essential:

 

1)    The experience of the candidate should reflect the ability to administer the role

2)    A relevant honours degree from a degree awarding authority

3)    Master Degree or higher in a relevant discipline (obtained by thesis and examination)

Desirable:

 

1)    Experience in academic administration at a senior level

2)    Knowledge of the Industry and the ability to represent Worldchefs at an international level

3)    Proven record of team building, good leadership and interpersonal skills

4)    Record of team leadership in the delivery of strategic goals and projects
